Aston Villa face bitter rivals Birmingham City at Villa Park tomorrow.
The Villans have turned a corner under new boss Dean Smith and will be hoping to extend their good run of form.
They have won their past two games and will be confident mood after beating Derby County 3-0 at Pride Park last time out.
A win over Birmingham tomorrow and they will have forced their way into the Play-Off picture. Villa are 12th in the league, one place above the Blues, but are just four points off the top six due to how tight the league is.
Smith has been speaking to Villa’s official club website this week ahead of the big game, “I think for a Brummie it’s the same feeling as City v Utd for someone from Manchester. It’s no different. It’s exciting. I’m looking forward to it. There’s a lot of anticipation about it.”.
The former Walsall and Brentford boss also added, “But it’s just a game to go and win three points. We have to perform very well against a Birmingham City team that’s been hard to beat this season so far. We have to put in another performance. Hopefully then we will get the result”.
Here is what the Villa fans are saying ahead of their derby against Birmingham tomorrow-

I hope I’m wrong but I can’t help but think our run against them must end sometime and I don’t think we’ve ever beaten a team managed by Monk. Also it seems like Nyland is destined to drop a clanger against them too #avfc
