Leeds United are showing an interest in Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente, as reported by The72 yesterday.
The Whites are looking to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window and their manager, Marcelo Bielsa, could turn to a familiar face.
The Argentinian boss managed Llorente at Atletico Bilbao and he has emerged as a target for the Championship side.
Llorente, who has 24 caps for Spain, has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs in the Premier League and is looking set for a move away this winter.
The 32-year-old started out as a youngster at Basconia before making his name at Atletico Bilbao. He spent nine seasons with them in La Liga and scored a combined 118 goals.
Llorente was then snapped up by Juventus in 2013 and did well for them in Serie A, managing to score 27 goals in 92 appearances. However, he moved back to Spain in August 2015 with Sevilla and spent a year before moving to England to join Swansea City.
He was a hit at the Liberty Stadium and bagged 15 goals in the Premier League to help keep the Welsh side up in the 2016/17 season. Spurs then moved to sign him for £12.1 million in August 2017.
Llorente has struggled to hit the ground running with the London side but could now be offered an escape route by Leeds United. Here is how their fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours-
Seeing my team linked with players like Llorente makes me happy!! 😀 #lufc

Fernando Llorente, you say? Exactly the type of player we need. Unlikely due to wages but it's not uncommon that teams would fund some of the expenses. He'd rip this league and played under Bielsa before. #LUFC
