Notts County are still looking for a new manager after sacking Harry Kewell earlier this week. Here is an updated five potential candidates for the role-
Martin Allen, Chesterfield- He has emerged as one of the favourites for a return to the Magpies. The current Chesterfield boss has also previously managed Barnet, Reading, Brentford, MK Dons, Leicester City, Cheltenham Town, Gillingham and Eastleigh in the past.
Paul Hurst- The 44-year-old is looking for a swift return to management after being sacked by Ipswich Town last week. He guided Shrewsbury Town to the League One Play-Off final last season and would be ideal for Notts County in the fourth tier.
Kevin Nolan- There are rumours flying around that he could be on his way back to County. He got them to the Play-Offs last season but was harshly sacked in August. Could the former West Ham United midfielder make a shock return?
Shaun Derry- Another former manager being linked with a return to Meadow Lane. Derry managed the Magpies from 2013 to 2015 and has since been manager of Cambridge United. He is currently the first-team coach of League One side Oxford United.
Neal Ardley- He was sacked by AFC Wimbledon earlier this week after six years in charge there. Ardley guided them to promotion to League One in 2016 and has kept them there for the past two seasons.
