Middlesbrough trialist attracting attention from former-Premier League champions – Leeds and Brentford also keen

According to journalist Pete O’Rourke of The Football Insider, Bohemians forward Ali Reghba is wanted by Premier League side Leicester City, as well as Championship trio Leeds United, Brentford, and Middlesbrough.

Reghba has just completed an initial trial with Middlesbrough, and is believed to have impressed the coaching staff at the club enough for the Teessiders to want the young Irishman on a permanent deal.

However, the 18-year old forward is now on the radar of several clubs from both the Championship and the Premier League, with Leicester City interested along with both Brentford and Leeds. The Foxes will be hoping that the prospect of playing at the highest level will be enough to persuade Reghba to sign for the 2016 Champions.

Bohemians will also be hoping they can keep hold of the youngster. However, with interest from clubs in England’s top two divisions, a bid that comes in over their valuation will seemingly twist their arm.

According to the same report on The Football Insider, Leeds are still interested in Reghba, but have not yet asked the player to join them on a short-term trial. Brentford or Leicester could beat the Whites to it, and  they could miss their chance to sign the forward.

Reghba scored twice on his Bohemians debut just two months ago in September, and has since made his debut for the Republic of Ireland under-19s side. His meteoric rise could yet continue if either one of Middlesbrough, Leeds, Brentford or Leeds pursue a deal for the youngster.
