Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers linked with loan-listed Wolves defender

Wolves defender Cameron John is set to leave the club on loan in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old was the subject of a £500,000 bid from a Championship side over the summer but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side turned it down. However, they are going to let John leave in a couple of months time to gain some first-team experience.

He is highly-rated by the Premier League side and is a strong defender who can play it out from the back. John can operate as a left-back as well as a centre-back.

He has been a regular for Wolves’ U23 side in the Premier League 2 league this season, playing 9 games and leading their backline. Though it is important that he is playing regular football, the Midlands side are wanting him to playing senior football at this stage of his career.

John was linked with Norwich City over the summer and they could potentially move for him again in January. Daniel Farke’s side have been brilliant this season and are hoping to be in and around the promotion picture come the end of the campaign.

The Canaries will be in the hunt for some new signings and John is someone who would be another option for them in defence.

They may have to face competition to land him from fellow second tier outfit Blackburn Rovers, as per the Yorkshire Post. Tony Mowbray’s men are the latest club to be credited with an interest in Cameron John in January.
