Leeds United are set to wear the new look third kit at the top of the table clash at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening. The club have twice had to navigate awkward situations recently, both at Wigan Athletic on Sunday and at Blackburn Rovers a few weeks ago, not full kit clashes but not ideal scenarios.
The new third kit is a traditional yellow and blue and has gone down extremely well amongst Leeds fans since it’s release earlier today. The yellow kit was the third kit two years ago but wasn’t used at all last campaign with the all black away kit and blue with yellow trim as the third kit. Leeds fans have always called for the traditional colours, a white home kit with rotated blue and yellow away kits. This is normally the case but does on occasion fall to the wayside if a new colour such as the black kit appears for a season or two.

The slightly unique part of the kit is the sleeves and the top of the socks which have a blue and white striped section on the ends, something that also appears to have gone down well with most fans. Leeds would have really struggled to form a kit combination this weekend as West Brom play in blue and white stripes but a very dark blue which would clash with the blue away kit and certainly the home one. We just about got away with it at Wigan.
Kappa seem to have won the fans over at Elland Road since they were announced by Massimo Cellino as the new kit maker, taking over from Macron who weren’t really cutting the mustard as far as the fans were concerned. The kits with no sponsors really set the groundwork for what has been a good series and variety of kits under them. The new one is said to have been helped along the way by club owner Andrea Radrizzani.
