Leeds United considering a move for Middlesbrough trialist

Leeds United are reportedly plotting a move for Bohemian F.C youngster Ali Reghba – who is currently on trial with Championship rivals Middlesbrough, according to The Sun.

Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Irish side Shamrock Rovers are all considering a move for for Bohemian attacker Ali Reghba, with the youngster impressing in his breakthrough season at the Irish side.

Reghba – who is of Algerian descent – has made his breakthrough from Bohemian’s youth set up and into the first team in the early stages of this season, and has been impressing some of Ireland’s biggest clubs, as well as both Leeds United and Middlesbrough.

The 18-year-old has played for Bohemian in the UEFA Youth League this season, playing in two games and picking up one goal. He picked up his goal for The Bohs in their First Round Second Leg clash with Danish side FC Midtjylland’s Youth side in a 2-1 loss.

In his professional debut for the League of Ireland side, Reghba scored twice to help Bohemian to a 3-1 victory over St. Patricks Athletic.

Reghba has also represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level. The 18-year-old attacker has played four times for the Irish Under-19s side, three of those coming in the UEFA Euro U19 Championship Qualifiers. Reghba picked up two assists in a 3-0 win over the Faroe Islands.

The youngster is going into his second trial period with Championship side Middlesbrough, but Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United could be preparing to jump in with an offer for the Republic of Ireland youngster.
