Burton Albion produced a stunning performance to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 in the Carabao Cup last night, progressing to the Quarter-Final for the first time in the club’s 68 year history.
Scottish midfielder Scott Fraser’s heavily deflected effort looped over ‘keeper Jason Steele to put Burton Albion 1-0 up, before striking again to double The Brewers’ advantage. Substitute Lewis Grabban struck shortly after coming on to bring the deficit back down to one, before Jake Hesketh’s cleanly struck volley made the scores 3-1 after 82 minutes.
Forest sub Arvin Appiah scored in added time, but Nigel Clough’s men held on for a historic victory over Aitor Karanka’s side.
The win in front of a jubilant Pirelli Stadium crowd has left Brewers fan proud to be a fan of Burton Albion, and they reacted to the game on Twitter.

That, quite simply, was a Scott Fraser masterclass.
He showed exactly why we’ve missed him these last few weeks. The way that he carries the ball forward with purpose is so good.
And to do it in front of the TV Cameras, he’s definitely caught people’s attention tonight.#BAFC— Edward Walker (@edward_w97) October 30, 2018
