Peterborough United are missing playmaker Marcus Maddison, on loan defender Tyler Denton and goalkeeper Conor O’Malley for tonight’s EFL Trophy clash with Brighton and Hove Albion’s Under 21 side.
Peterborough United tweeted this evening, telling supporters that Steve Evans has fielded a strong side, with five changes made from last weekend’s 4-0 defeat against Barnsley.

Peterborough United were beaten 4-0 by promotion rivals Barnsley at the weekend, and have a chance to bounce back from last weekend’s thrashing tonight against Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion’s Under 21 side in tonight’s EFL Trophy match.
The injuries to Conor O’Malley and Tyler Denton mean that ‘keeper Aaron Chapman and defender Colin Daniel could both keep their place in the starting eleven, despite both coming under fire for their performances at the weekend.
Steve Evans has praised midfielder Callum Cooke in the past few weeks, and he could be set for a start in tonight’s match. The former Middlesbrough midfielder scored his first goal for the club against Gillingham in a 4-2 away win.
Former Hamilton Academical defender Darren Lyon could also make his first start for the club after his substitute appearance against Barnsley. Sikiri Dembele was dropped for last weekend’s game against Barnsley, so could return to the lineup for tonight’s game.
