Five free agents who Championship clubs should sign

There are still some players out there who are without a club and would be decent acquisitions for Championship sides. Here are five-

Robert Huth- The experienced defender left Leicester City at the end of last season. He played a key part in their 2016 Premier League title winning season. Huth, who is a former Germany international with 19 caps, has also played for the likes of Chelsea, Middlesbrough and Stoke City. He would do a job for a Championship side.

Jan Kirchhoff- He has been affected by injury over recent seasons but deserves a chance back in the second tier. He spent the latter half of last season with Bolton Wanderers and helped Phil Parkinson’s side stay up. Kirchhoff has also had a spell at Sunderland in England.

Nedum Onuoha- The former Manchester City, Sunderland and most recently QPR defender is still a free agent. The 31-year-old has racked up 370 appearances in his career to date. He was linked with Hull City and MLS side Real Salt Lake over the summer, but is still weighing up his next move.

Kazenga LuaLua- The tricky winger is available and would be a shrewd signing by a Championship side. He has got experience of playing at this level with Newcastle United, Doncaster Rovers, Brighton and Hove Albion, QPR and Sunderland.

Victor Anichebe- He has been spotted at a few Championship games this season and is in the hunt for a new club. The Nigerian striker, formerly of Everton, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland, spent last season playing in China for Beijing Enterprises but wants a move back to England.
