Hull City set sights on Premier League winger- Grosicki replacement?

Hull City have reignited their interest in Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons, as per a report by the Yorkshire Post.

The Tigers tried to loan him in January but he opted for a move to Serie A side Hellas Verona instead. Hull are going to try and bring him to the KCOM Stadium once again now but will face competition from Scottish Premier League giants Rangers and Greek side AEK Athens.

Aarons started his career at Bristol City before moving to Newcastle United in 2012. He helped the Magpies gain promotion to the Premier League in 2017 after being part of Rafa Benitez’s side who won the Championship title.

However, his first-team chances with the North-East side were limited in the Premier League last season so he was shipped out on loan to Hellas Verona for the latter part of the campaign, where he played 11 games.

The Jamaican-born winger is likely to leave Newcastle once again on loan for more game time. Hull’s boss, Nigel Adkins, will be hoping his recruitment team can persuade him to move into the Championship. The Tigers are keen on bringing in a few loan players before the end of the month and have also been linked with a move for Fleetwood Town defender Cian Bolger, as well as Swindon Town midfielder Michael Doughty.

It is a race against the clock for teams to get deals done and Hull will be looking to fight off Rangers and AEK Athens to bolster their attacking options by landing Rolando Aarons on loan.
