Nottingham Forest are in the hunt for another striker, according to Nottinghamshire Live.
The Reds are looking for another forward to compensate for Ben Brereton’s likely departure to fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers before the end of the loan window.
They have four striking targets on their radar, here they are-
Nelson Oliveira-
Forest are considering a move for their former striker. The 27-year-old scored 9 goals during his loan spell at the City Ground from Benfica in the 2015/16 season. Oliveira has managed a combined 22 goals in the past two seasons for Norwich City.
Rudy Gestede-
The Reds’ boss, Aitor Karanka, knows him well from signing and managing him at Middlesbrough. The 6ft 4inc striker, formerly of Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa, is a real handful in the Championship and would offer Nottingham Forest more of an aerial threat in attack.
Tammy Abraham-
The highly-rated Chelsea striker has been linked with a loan move to Aston Villa and Forest are also keen. He scored 26 goals on loan with Bristol City in the 2016/17 season and spent the last campaign at Swansea City in the Premier League. Chelsea could loan him out again this season for more first-team experience and he would be ideal for the Reds.
Jermain Defoe-
The 35-year-old is also on Forest’s list of striking targets. He may not be a first-team regular for Bournemouth this season due to their vast variety of attacking options so could be tempted by a loan move. He has managed 273 goals in 676 career appearances and has been one of the most prolific strikers in the country over the past decade or so.
