Charlton Athletic set for loan signings on Monday

Charlton Athletic caretaker manager Lee Bowyer is expecting to complete a couple of loan signings on Monday according to reports by News Shopper.

The Addicks have a points per game average of just 1.00 in Sky Bet League One so far this season while midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey has been ruled out for the season.

It has now been revealed that Charlton Athletic boss Bowyer is hoping to strengthen his squad on Monday with one or two new additions. One loanee is expected to be a midfielder while the other potential signing is likely to operate in another area of the park.

It has been a tough summer for The Addicks as takeover talks have continued to move on at a snail’s pace. Caretaker boss Bowyer has been given little financial backing meaning that he has had to work with bringing in players on frees or loan deals.

The South East Londoners were Sky Bet League One play-off semi finalists last season but the off the field turmoil is undoubtedly affecting performances this term. The club are yet to make a decision on Bowyer’s long term role at the club while the four summer signings made by The Addicks will have been less than the number that was wanted or needed at The Valley.

Charlton Athletic need to find form quickly if they are to enjoy a positive season and it is hoped that the possible new additions this week will freshen things up.
