Leicester City keen on move for Reading winger

Reading’s Mo Barrow is a target for Leicester City, as per a report by Football.London.

The Premier League side are keen to get some more players before the transfer window shuts next Thursday and have identified the exciting winger as a potential signing.

Barrow joined Reading last summer from Swansea City and impressed for them in the Championship last season. He managed 10 goals in 45 games for the Royals.

He started his career in Sweden with spells at Mjölby Södra IF, IFK Norrkoping, Varbergs BoIS FC and Osterssunds before he was brought to England by Swansea City, who paid £1.5 million for him.

Barrow, who has 6 caps for the Gambian national team, played 55 times for the Swans in his three years at the club. He also enjoyed loan spells in the Championship with Nottingham Forest, Blackburn Rovers and Leeds United during his time at the Liberty Stadium.

He left Swansea on a permanent basis last summer to join Reading and has become a key player for the Royals. However, they could face a battle to hold onto him this week with Leicester City keen.

The 2016 Premier League champions are in the hunt for some more attacking options as their manager, Claude Puel, looks to try and replace the influence of Riyah Mahrez who has left them for Manchester City.

Leicester have already raided the Championship to sign James Maddison from Norwich City and could now try and sign Reading winger Mo Barrow. This is a story to keep an eye on over the next few days.
