Leeds United fans react to ‘mystery shirt leak’ – new away kit?

Where are our signings? Where are the season tickets? When the new home kit being released? Shambles!

Pretty much all of the above has been said over the past week-or-so by a lot of angry Leeds United fans over on Twitter and, to a lesser degree, over on Facebook. One mustn’t underestimate the platform for dissention that social media presents disgruntled football fans.

Leeds United fans, once disgruntled, are now beginning to get their answers. Tomorrow will likely see Patrick Bamford join from Middlesbrough, linking up with Barry Douglas who joined on Saturday from Wolves. Season tickets are being photographed and captioned ‘Got Mine!’ on Twitter. The home kit was released on Friday in a bit of a glitzy show.

That’s three things less for Leeds United fans to get disgruntled with, which is good news as the season is only a week away. There’ll no doubt be plenty for us Leeds fans to get aerated about when the 2018/19 campaign is up and running.

The season will be, again, a test of both patience and sanity for Leeds United fans. However with loanees of the calibre of Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker from Chelsea and the signings of quality in Bamford and Douglas, there’s a greater sense of positivity amongst Leeds United fans as the Stoke game approaches.

There’s one other thing though that has gotten Leeds United fans talking tonight, and it isn’t the 1-0 home friendly win over UD Las Palmas this afternoon. It’s this:

Now if Leeds fans’ questioning about the ‘whens’ of the home kit have been sated, this ‘mystery leak’ has gotten them all fired up and talking again. Here’s what some of them are saying over on Twitter at the moment:

As with everything Leeds United, the responses are very ‘Marmite’ in what they think about what could very well be this season’s away kit. It’s certainly colorful, I will at least give Kappa that. Until it is worn by a Leeds United player in standard catalogue pose mode, I shall have to reserve full judgement until then.
