Stoke City are set to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Gabriel Kyeremateng and has even arrived in the area according to a report from German publication Kicker.
Dortmund have always been a famous club but they gained a lot more fans because of the amount of top quality players they have produced from their academy over the last few years. Many of the world’s top players came from Dortmund and other teams are always looking at their youth system to see if they can snap up any potential stars of the future.
And Stoke could be signing one of those potential signings of the summer with them closing in on a deal for Kyeremateng. While he has not made an appearance for the senior side, he has been a regular in the U19s. He performed well in the 2016/17 season and scored nine goals but he struggled last time out and didn’t find the net once. It seems that Dortmund now believe that Kyeremateng won’t be able to break into their first team and are happy to sell.
And Stoke are now looking to snap him up as Kyeremateng could be able to break into their first team. While the Potters are spending a lot of money this summer, he could end up being a star for them in the future even if he can’t make it at the German giants. And this deal could be completed soon as this report from Germany says he is in Staffordshire now ready to sign on the dotted line.
