Charlie Adam blames Xherdan Shaqiri for relegation – fans reaction

Charlie Adam has pointed the finger at Liverpool’s Xherdan Shaqiri over Stoke City’s relegation. This has caused outrage amongst Stoke City and Liverpool fans.

Charlie Adam has played 164 games for Stoke City, scoring 22 goals and picking up 16 assists. Stoke City were relegated from the Premier League last season and Charlie Adam has blamed Xherdan Shaqiri for his lack of professionalism. This is despite Charlie Adam having been sent off three times during his Stoke City career.

Xherdan Shaqiri has played 92 games for Stoke City. He has scored 15 goals and picked up 15 assists. Some fans are claiming if it wasn’t for Xherdan Shaqiri, Stoke City would have been relegated back in March and are telling Charlie Adam where to go.

Charlie Adam said “When the chips are down you look at your big players, you want your big players to bring magic in one moment in the season, and at times we felt like the so-called big players in the squad never turned up for us and never performed”. He then added, “Yeah, everybody else could help, but for all the plaudits to so-called bigger players we getting from certain members of the management staff last season – they weren’t producing.”
