Sky Bet League One – RequestABet Specials

The new League One season is nearly upon us. It all kicks off in just over two weeks time. We’re going to take a look at some RequestABet’s you can have punt on ready for the new campaign.

The Outsider

The current outsider out of all the League One RequestABets is Portsmouth in finish in the top two and Sunderland to be relegated to League Two. The odds offered by Sky Bet is 250/1. Given Sunderland are the outright favourites by a long distance to win the division this is highly unlikely and you can see why the odds are so long. Although, Sunderland weren’t expected to be relegated last season but they were. It might be unlikely but given it’s got such long odds it may be worth placing a couple of pounds on it!

The Favourite

The current favourite on site is priced at 7/2. This is for newly promoted Coventry City to finish in the top six and recently relegated Sunderland to also finish in the top six. As we said earlier, Sunderland are the big favourites to win the whole division so their side of the best seems a fairly safe. Despite only coming up from League Two last season, Coventry are one of the favourites for a top six finish which is why these odds are so short. There’s still a good chance Coventry won’t make the top six and given the odds are so short it’s really not worth the risk and it’s probably best left alone.

Our Tip

Our tip is Sunderland to finish in the play-off positions and Burton to finish in the bottom half. This is currently priced at 5/1. Despite just coming down from the Championship, Burton are not even close to being a favourite for promotion which is what makes us think this just could happen. Of course Sunderland are expected to be up there in the mix at the end of the season too. This one stands a very good chance of happening and with a good price of 5/1, we certainly think it’s worth a punt!
