QPR “still want” Jordan Hugill – According to journalist

According to the Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Championship side Queens Park Rangers are still interested in signing Premier League striker Jordan Hugill from West Ham United.

When asked on twitter if QPR were no longer interested in the Englishman Nixon replied with, “still want him”.

Queens Park Rangers were favourites to sign the former Preston North End striker but quickly became an outsider when Leeds United began to show serious interest. Now the Leeds United interest has seemed to have cooled off slightly it’s emerged that Queens Park Rangers indeed “still want him”.

Following their relegation from the Premier League back in 2015 they have never been the same and have struggled to mount any sort of play-off push at all.

Queens Park Rangers have been really lacking a goal scorer in recent seasons and that’s why they’ve been struggling for goals. With just 58 goals last season it’s clear why they aren’t challenging for promotion back to the Premier League. Striker Conor Washington has scored an abysmal 13 goals from 88 appearances while at QPR which just isn’t good enough.

They’ll be hoping Jordan Hugill can be the man who provides most of the fire power in their team to help them push for a top six finish in future seasons.

Jordan Hugill was mightily impressive during his time at Preston but has been out of favour at West Ham ever since he joined. Now he’s looking for a move away it’ll be very interesting to see if he can pick up where he left off last time he was in the Championship.
