Roofe, Leeds United fans react to Roofe rumours

Leeds United fans react to Roofe rumours

Earlier today, the72 reported that West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United were both interested in signing Leeds United star Kemar Roofe.

The 25-year-old was Leeds’ top goal scorer last season, and is capable of playing either on the wing, or as an out-and-out striker.

As it stands, Leeds United do not really have a striker. They have already missed out on Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra, and right now they really cannot afford to lose Roofe.

Supporters of the Elland Road club are growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of transfer activity so far, and reports linking one of their star men with a move away from the club are not going to go down well.

As soon as rumours started to break about this deal, Leeds United fans took to Twitter to share their feelings on the news.

Here is a look at what a select few of them had to say:

It would be silly to sell Roofe according to this supporter, who acknowledges that he is a player who divides opinion, but also a player who is capable of scoring important goals for his team.

The motion of not selling Roofe was supported by this fan, who responded saying that the former Oxford United man will only get better under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

However, it is fair to say some fans aren’t particularly fond of Roofe…

The shortage of incomings at Elland Road is becoming a real worry for Leeds supporters…maybe Bielsa will take notice and pick this fella up?
