West Brom are “looking good” to sign former Leeds United and Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Championship side West Brom are “looking good” to sign former Leeds United defender Kyle Bartley from Swansea City.

West Brom are looking to sign a solid Championship centre-back and Bartley certainly fits the bill as Darren Moore looks to replace Craig Dawson as he nears the exit at The Hawthorns.

About Kyle Bartley –

Kyle Bartley started his career at Bolton Wanderers, but he joined Arsenal in 2007 and was captain of their reserves at one stage.

He only managed to make one senior appearance for Arsenal, but gained experience during successful loan spells at Sheffield United and Rangers.

Bartley signed for Swansea City from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2012, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium.

He has had to battle for game-time at Swansea, only making five appearances in his first year at the Liberty before an impressive stint on loan at Birmingham in 2013-14.

He made three more appearances at the back-end of that campaign for Swansea, and then signed a new three-year contract extension keeping him at the club until 2017.

Bartley made 10 more appearances in 2014-15 and eight more in 2015-16 for Swansea City.

Former Swansea boss Garry Monk took Bartley to Leeds on a season-long loan in 2016-17, and the centre-back enjoyed a fine year at Elland Road.

Before leaving for Leeds, Bartley signed a one-year contract extension which ties him to the Swans until the summer of 2018.
