Jack Grealish, “Strong chance” Spurs will sign Jack Grealish

“Strong chance” Spurs will sign Jack Grealish

Many clubs have been chasing Aston Villa’s best players ever since the club went into turmoil. There’s a “strong chance” that Tottenham Hotspur will signing Jack Grealish, according to Alan Nixon on twitter.

Aston Villa originally valued their star man at a ludicrous £40m but this was quickly shot down and there was talk of a £15m bid from Tottenham Hotspur. Daniel Levy is a very hard negotiator and will never pay over the odds for any player. £40m was never going to be paid for Grealish with Spurs involved but the actual fee they’re willing to pay.

Jack Grealish joined Aston Villa from, League Two, Notts County and has since played in 110 matches for Villa. The 22-year-old has scored nine goals in that time and also picked up 15 goals. He very nearly helped guide Villa to promotion last season but they fell at the last hurdle against Fulham, who beat them 1-0, at Wembley.

Central defender James Chester has also been linked away from Villa Park and following the departure of Champions League winner John Terry their team is collapsing rapidly.

If they want to avoid a relegation battle next season they’re are going to have to get the cheque book out. But with the club up for sale, the burden of potential administration and winding up orders hanging over their heads, big clubs coming in to try sign their top players on the cheap and absolutely no money at all, things are looking very bleak for the Birmingham based club.
