John Percy of the Telegraph has tweeted that West Brom look set to sign Leeds United’s long-term transfer target, Kyle Bartley, for a fee of around £3.5m with a deal thought to be done before the end of this week.

The central defender spent a season on loan at Elland Road two years ago and the West-Yorkshire faithful took to Bartley, being desperate for the club to sign him on a permanent deal since he left so he could join back up with Swedish International Pontus Jansson in the heart of Leeds United’s defence.
Bartley only featured on five occasions at centre-back for Swansea City during last season with Alfie Mawson and Mike van der Hoorn being the preferred duo at centre-half for the Welsh side.
West Brom are beginning to prepare themselves for a season back in the Championship under the leadership of manager Darren Moore and Kyle Bartley would be a very strong statement of intent for a side who will be looking to win promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Leeds United fans will be unhappy at the fact that Bartley is moving to West Brom, especially given the fact that the club have seen a real lack of action during the transfer window thus far, but we’ll see whether the club had better transfer targets in mind over the next few weeks.
