It’s has become apparent that Stoke City are requesting a player on loan as part of a deal for Xherdan Shaqiri. With Manchester United interested in the 26-year-old there’s a good chance a player could be arriving from Old Trafford. Here are two players Stoke City could sign from Manchester United.
Axel Tuanzebe
Gary Rowett is looking for a centre-half to sure up his defence as he looks to guide Stoke City to an instant return to the Premier League. Axel Tuanzebe is an incredible young talent who could fill that role at Stoke City with absolute ease.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa where he made just five appearances and has since returned back up to Manchester. Tuanzebe has made his Premier League debut under Jose Mourinho while at Old Trafford but isn’t in his plans for next season so a loan move away would be perfect for all three parties involved.
Andreas Pereira
Andreas Pereira is a 22-year-old attacking midfielder who, despite his obvious talent, is yet to be given a break at Manchester United.
Andreas Pereria spent the whole of last season away on loan at Valencia CF in Spain where he made 23 appearances for the big Spanish club. During that time period, he scored one goal and picked up four assists. With Shaqiri leaving, Stoke City really need to bring in some more creative flair. The 22-year-old Belgian born Brazillian would be just what Stoke City are looking for.
