Millwall closing in on the signing of Barnsley striker

Millwall are closing in on the signing of Barnsley and Wales striker Tom Bradshaw, according to a report from Football London.

The Reds suffered relegation back to League One last season and now they look set to lose their star striker to the Lions.

The Welsh international netted on 12 occasions for the Tykes last season, but his goals could not save the Yorkshire club from the drop.

Millwall boss Neil Harris had said that he wanted to strengthen his attacking options in the transfer window and they are edging ever closer to signing Bradshaw.

The Lions relied heavily on Steve Morrison and Lee Gregory at the top end of the pitch during last campaign, so Bradshaw will provide good squad depth as they look to mount another promotion push.

The 25 year old joined the Reds in 2016 from Walsall after the Saddlers failed to gain promotion to the Championship.

He joined Barnsley for an undisclosed fee after his transfer request was accepted by then Walsall boss Jon Whitney.

In his two year stint at Oakwell, Bradshaw has made 79 appearances for the club, finding the back of the net on 17 occasions.

He now has just one year left on his current contract with the club and Barnsley are now keen to cash in rather than losing him on a free next summer.

Millwall suprised everyone during the second half of last season as they transformed from relegation candidates to promotion contenders.

Bradshaw is edging ever closer to securing a move to The Den and his goals could help fire Millwall in to the Playoffs.
