Leeds United linked with shock move for Lazio striker

According to TalkSport, Leeds United have been linked with a surprising move for Lazio forward Felipe Caicedo and the striker is reportedly interested in moving to sign for the club this summer in what would be one of the more surprising transfer stories of the summer.

Caicedo has featured for the likes of Manchester City, Espanyol, FC Basel and Sporting CP in his career and he could be set to open up the next chapter of his career in West-Yorkshire.

The Ecuadorian forward supposedly has no issue with linking up with the Championship club and is seen as surplus to requirements in Rome at the Italian side who finished 5th in Serie A last season.

As TalkSport report, the striker is supposedly keen on a move back to England after getting a taste for English Football during a spell he had at Manchester City around a decade ago and a move to Leeds United would give him a chance of getting back into the Premier League as a leading frontman for an English side.

Given the fact that Bielsa has been appointed as the boss of Leeds United, fans expected a number of high profile signings and it appears that Caicedo could be set to become the next big thing for the West-Yorkshire club, should the Whites make an offer for the Ecuadorian striker.

Caicedo would bring a large physical presence to Leeds United’s forward line and if the West-Yorkshire club are to sign Derby County’s Matej Vydra as well, they could have one of the most talented attacking forces in the Championship next season.
