Bristol City are in the hunt for a replacement for Bobby Reid, who left them to join newly promoted Premier League side Cardiff City. Here are five players they should go for-
Zach Clough, Nottingham Forest- The 23-year-old could become available this summer having fallen down the pecking order at Forest. He spent the latter part of last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, where he started his career and made his name at. Clough still has a bright future ahead of him and would be ideal for Bristol City.
Marcus Maddison, Peterborough United- He has been linked with various Championship sides so far this summer and is another who the Robins could target. Maddison has scored 42 goals for the Posh in his four years at the club and is another who Lee Johnson should have his eye on.
Tom Bradshaw, Barnsley- Bristol City need to replace the goals that Reid managed last season and Bradshaw is proven at Championship level. He managed 20 goals in his two seasons at this level for the Tykes and could become available after their relegation to League One.
Kieran Dowell, Everton- He spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest and impressed for them after scoring 10 goals for them in 43 appearances in all competitions. He would be perfect for Bristol City and they should try and persuade Everton to let him leave on loan for another season of regular first-team football.
Izzy Brown, Chelsea- The 21-year-old, like Dowell, is another loan option for the Robins. Brown has gained first-team action on loan at Huddersfield Town and Brighton and Hove Albion in the past and would fill the gap left by Bobby Reid.
