Norwich City make offer to sign Chelsea midfielder

Norwich City have made an offer to take Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer on loan next season, according to Sky Sports News.

Palmer split his time between Huddersfield Town and Derby County last season on loan from Stamford Bridge.

He made just four appearances for the Terriers in the Premier League before his loan was terminated in January.

The attacking midfielder had played a big role in helping Huddersfield reach the Premier League as he made 24 appearances under David Wagner during the 16/17 campaign.

Palmer also helped Derby County reach the Playoffs last season after joining the Rams in the January transfer window.

He went on to make 14 appearances for Gary Rowett’s side, scoring two goals for the club.

However, he couldn’t replicate the success he had with with Huddersfield the season previous, as Derby lost to Fulham in the semi finals.

The Chelsea man is still yet to make his debut for the Blues and looks set to be loaned out again this season in order to gain more first team experience.

His Playoff experience could be key to the Championship side as they look to make a Playoff push next campaign.

Norwich have been active in the transfer window so far, and Daniel Farke has already bought in three new additions to help strengthen the Canaries squad.

Emil Buendia, Moritz Leitner, and Ben Marshall have all joined the Yellows this summer, and Kasey Palmer could be next through the door at Carrow Road.

However, Norwich will have to act quickly if they want to sign the playmaker, with Ligue 1 club Nice interested in signing the 21 year old.
