Five players that Doncaster Rovers should sign this summer

Here are five players that Grant McCann should sign this summer for Doncaster Rovers –

Eoin Doyle, Preston North End – Doyle is a proven goalscorer in League One, as he showed last season with Oldham Athletic where he scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions. To add to this, the Irishman scored 25 goals in 33 appearances for Chesterfield during the 2014/15 season. With him not being needed at Preston North End this may lead Doncaster to swoop in for a deal.

Matt Mills, free agent – Mills is 6ft 3’ central defender, who has a huge amount of footballing knowledge on his CV having played multiple times in the Premier League as well as the Sky Bet Championship. Mills has racked up over 400 senior appearances in professional football, who could bring a vast amount of experience to Doncaster’s defensive areas.

Mohamed Eisa, Cheltenham Town –  After an impressive campaign in League Two this season, scoring 23 goals in 46 league games and maybe Doncaster Rovers should swoop in for a deal. The Sudanese striker spent his early career in non-league football with Dartford, Corinthian and Greenwich Borough. At Greenwich he scored 57 goals in 100 appearances in all competitions before leaving the club in June 2017 to join Cheltenham.

Kean Bryan, Manchester City – Kean Bryan, who is aged 21, was named Young Player of the Year by Oldham Athletic after impressing hugely despite the club’s eventual relegation to League Two. He started as a box-to-box midfielder but transformed into a centre back, the youngster likes to use his strength in possession, vision and passing ability to influence the game from the centre of the park.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, QPR – The 27-year-old joined QPR in 2015 from Bristol City on a free transfer. However, he has struggled to make an impact at Loftus Road and has been shipped out on loan twice to MK Dons and then Gillingham. With his QPR contact up this summer maybe this will tempt Doncaster to take a gamble on the former League One title winner.
