Norwich City, Millwall, Norwich City join Millwall in race for Wolves winger

Norwich City join Millwall in race for Wolves winger

Norwich City are hoping to beat Millwall to the signing of Wolves winger Ben Marshall, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

Marshall spent the latter part of last season on loan at Millwall in the Championship from Wolves and impressed for the Lions. They were hopeful of signing him on a permanent basis but may be beaten to his signature by Norwich City.

The Canaries have lost Josh Murphy to Cardiff City, Wes Hoolahan was released and they are now bracing themselves for the possible departure of James Maddison. Therefore, they are in need of some attacking reinforcements this summer and see Marshall as an ideal signing.

The Norwich boss, Daniel Farke, is hoping for a big summer on the transfer front and wants to have his Canaries side competing at the top end of the Championship table in the next campaign.

Ben Marshall could help his side do this if they can tip Millwall to the signing of him. The 27-year-old is in need of a new permanent home with his Wolves future in doubt following their promotion to the Premier League last season. Marshall fell down the pecking order under Nuno Espirito Santo, hence why he was loaned out in January.

Marshall is an experienced winger at Championship level having previously played for the likes of Sheffiled Wednesday, Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City. He would be a great acquisition for either Millwall or Norwich.
