Leeds United, Everton and Wolves want Sheffield Wednesday midfielder

According to TeamTalk, both Leeds United and Wolves are keen on signing Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sean Clare.

The young midfielder broke into an injury-hit Wednesday team this season for the first time in his career and made five appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, but it appears that he already has attracted interest from some rather sizeable clubs with his performances.

Supposedly, the young midfielder has rejected a new contract at Hillsborough, due to his lack of game time with the Owls and now he’s looking for a move away to another club. Aston Villa had supposedly been in for the young midfielder, but their interest in signing the young midfielder appears to have subsided, with Leeds and Wolves now thought to be entering the frame to sign the young midfielder.

If Clare is to move away from Hillsborough, his final destination could be determined by several factors, such as whether Leeds United decide to appoint Marcelo Bielsa and also, if Wolves want to bring in another more experienced midfielder during the window.

TeamTalk suggests that around 14 clubs have shown interest in signing the young midfielder, with Everton, Fulham, Celtic and Rangers being some of the clubs who want to secure the young midfielder’s signature for the upcoming season.

Ultimately, Clare’s future will rest upon which club offers him the best package and chance to develop as a young footballer. It’s unknown as to whether he wishes to stay in the Championship or whether he would like an ambitious move to a Premier League club.
