Leeds on brink of appointing highest paid coach in clubs history

Leeds United are this morning on the verge of appointing Marcelo Bielsa as the new coach of the football club. The deal that would see the Argentine join the club is monumental, making him the biggest name, and highest paid coach in the history of the football club.

Make no mistke about this, Marcelo Bielsa arriving at Leeds United is one of the biggest stories in world football, we just have to get it over the line now. He has agreed personal terms and a way to run the club and now it’s expexted the signing of the contract is all that’s needed, an announcement is expected imminently.

With the World Cup starting tomorrow and Leeds negotiating with Bielsa for well over two weeks this process has been enormous but as Sky Sports News presenter Jim White said last week, this is in more ways that one, a huge deal. Bielsa, one of the best coaches in World football about to join Leeds, two weeks ago we had Paul Heckingbottom…

Leeds are making moves in the transfer market but need a deal with Bielsa before they begin pushing these to be completed. Abel Hernandez, David Stockdale, Angus Gunn, Matej Vydra, John Egan and Harry Wilson have all been linked and some have been discussed with their club, including Derby County of Bielsa’s target Vydra.

It could be a monumental day for Leeds United Football Club, hopefully the announcement is today and we can start preparing for pre-season which will be due to start on Monday.
