“Bargain”- Hull City fans react to the club closing in on Nottingham Forest’s Eric Lichaj

Hull City are close to signing Nottingham Forest defender Eric Lichaj, according to Hull Live.

The Tigers are hoping to conclude a deal to sign the American international later week as they look to re-build their squad after an early summer squad exodus.

The likes of Allan McGregor, Michael Dawson, David Meyler, Seb Larsson and Abel Hernandez have all left the club. Moses Odubajo and Max Clark are the next two who could leave at the end of June when their contracts expire.

Signing Eric Lichaj would soften the blow of the losing these players as it is a sign that Hull are hoping to sign some players and not leave all their transfer business until the end of the window, which has happened in the previous two summers.

Lichaj, who is 29 years-old, has played for Nottingham Forest since 2011 and is seeking a new challenge in his career. He will cost Hull in the region of £400,000, which is good business for an experienced Championship right-back.

Here is how the Hull City fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that Lichaj could be coming to the KCOM Stadium-
