Opinion: Five players Hull City could sign to replace Seb Larsson

Seb Larsson is set to join Swedish side AIK, according to Swedish source Fotball Direkt. Here are five players Hull City could sign to replace him-

Jacob Butterfield, Derby County- He spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and it is yet to be seen whether he is in Frank Lampard’s plans at Derby. The 28-year-old is experienced in the Championship after spells at Barnsley, Middlesbrough and Huddersfield Town in the past so would be a decent signing for Hull City.

Josh Vela, Bolton Wanderers- The 24-year-old is a key player for Bolton and played a key part in their survival in the Championship. He would be a perfect replacement for Larsson at Hull as he has played over 150 games for the Trotters so far in his career and is proven in the second tier.

Jon Nolan, Shrewsbury Town- He caught the eye in League One last season for Shrewsbury Town and will be the subject of interest from the Championship this summer. The former Stockport County, Grimsby Town and Chesterfield midfielder could be the next Sam Clucas for Hull City. He has time on his side and would be a good long-term option for the Tigers.
