Middlesbrough, Cardiff and West Brom keen on Blackburn star

According to Sportsmole, there is a three way tug of war to secure the services of Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack, with Middlesbrough, Cardiff and West Brom reportedly interested.

Both Middlesbrough and West Brom will be hoping to gain promotion back to the Premier League, whereas Cardiff will be plying their trade in the top tier and will be hoping to bolster their squad to avoid the drop.

Bradley Dack scored an astounding 18 goals in League One for Rovers last season, and gained automatic promotion under former Middlesbrough and West Brom manager, Tony Mowbray.

The midfielder signed from Gillingham last summer for just £750,000 and Blackburn will be hoping to quadruple that figure at the very least if they are to sell their talisman.

Dack secured a place in the League One Team of the Year, and was awarded the League One PFA Player of the Year at the PFA Awards last month for his performances.

Middlesbrough, Cardiff and West Brom all were culpable of not scoring enough last season. Although Cardiff went up automatically, their goals scored was second worst in the top six, only to Middlesbrough. Whereas West Brom were the Premier League’s second lowest scorers, second to fellow-relegatees Swansea City.

The 24-year old is yet to sign a new deal for the club, a contract which Mowbray feels should be offered as soon as possible, to attempt to ward off potential suitors.

“Does Bradley Dack deserve a new deal? In my opinion, yes. Did he deserve a new deal three or four months ago? Yes”, said the Rovers boss.

“They haven’t had them because we were stuck in League One and now we’re out we can start those chats.”

Whatever happens, plenty of clubs will show an interest in Bradley Dack in the summer window, and it will be interesting to see which club he turns out for at the start of the Championship campaign.
