Five time Ballon d’Or winner priced as an outsider to sign for Wolves

SkyBet are offering odds of 20/1 for Cristiano Ronaldo to sign for Wolves this summer and a move would not be completely impossible, given the fact that the Portuguese winger is represented by Jorge Mendes – Wolves’ main transfer advisor.

Ronaldo has been hailed as one of Football’s all-time greats enjoying a remarkable career with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon, where he first began his career. The Euro 2016 winner has been linked with a return to the Premier League in seemingly every single transfer window – but more often than not, this is with a move to Manchester United rather than Wolves.

Given the fact that Wolves have been promoted back into the Premier League, Mendes’ links with the Champions League winner and Sky Bet Championship Winners means that a move isn’t completely impossible, but is slightly unlikely.

Nonetheless, the fact that a move is only priced at 20/1 suggests that their is some chance that the winger could move to Molineux – and stranger things have indeed happened in football.

The winger could look to make a final appearance in the Premier League and whilst most would expect this would be at Old Trafford for Manchester United, the connection of Jorge Mendes and Portuguese boss Nuno Espirito Santo mean that a move to Molineux could be a vague possibility.

Ronaldo is priced at 4/11 to leave Real Madrid but with the likes of PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea all in the betting markets, it seems rather unlikely the five-time Ballon d’Or winner would move Molineux – but you never know.
