Sporting Lisbon apparently blocked an €18m move to newly promoted Wolves – which Patricio appears to be unhappy with and keen to force through a deal.
The goalkeeper has requested that his contract is terminated which comes after a scary few weeks in which Sporting Lisbon players have been attacked by fans who stormed into the clubs training ground.
The international goalkeeper won Euro 2016 with Portugal and would be a fantastic acquisition for Wolves at only 30-years-old and would bring some valuable international experience into Molineux, should he make a move over to England.
Patricio seems to be keen to make his way out of the Portuguese capital and it’s thought that Jorge Mendes, the advisor to Wolves’ owners has been a contributing factor towards encouraging the shot-stopper to make a move to Molineux.
We’re hoping to find out in the coming hours as to whether the goalkeeper will be granted a way out of Sporting Lisbon and if a proposed deal to take the goalkeeper to England to join the newly promoted club will take place – or if no deal is struck.
