Wolves priced at 7/2 to sign Stoke City player with Liverpool 1/2 favourites

Liverpool are now 1/2 favorites to sign Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland in the coming weeks with SkyBet whilst Wolves are priced at 7/2.

After Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in which Reds Goalkeeper Lorius Karius made two costly mistakes, rumours have been circulating amongst fans that Jurgen Klopp could look to bring in another Goalkeeper to challenge for the number one jersey at Anfield.

England International Jack Butland looks certain to leave Stoke City, following their relegation to the Championship and a move to Premier League Liverpool would be a fantastic move for the goalkeeper – although Wolves seem keen to bring Butland to Molineux.

Butland began his career at Birmingham City and is currently only 25, which means he still has the capacity to develop into his prime years as a goalkeeper. Securing Butland’s signature would be a strong statement of intent by Wolves who are looking to make an impact in their return to the Premier League after their promotion from the Championship under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Butland will be focused on the World Cup in Russia as he’s getting ready to travel away with the Three Lions for their tournament, with the goalkeeper hoping that he will be able to get a start in England’s first game against Tunisia.

Whilst, where Butland’s future lies appears uncertain, a move away from the Britannia, does seem to be very much on the cards and it will be interesting in the coming days to see if he leaves Stoke City and what his end destination will be.
