Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo has said he expects to make a number of changes to the Wolves playing squad this summer, before the Midlanders make their Premier League bow.
Wolves already have a squad full of talent, but Nuno will be on the lookout for fresh talent in the hope of consolidating their place in England’s top tier next season.
The Premier League new boys have already been linked with a number of high profile names since the season finished, and Nuno believes that signings are on the way.
Speaking to Wolves TV, he said “On the part of the coach, now is the time to really start planning and start thinking, knowing and making decisions,
“Players will come, of course, but the names of the press – no. We know what we want and in the right moment our fans will know.
“People have been working really hard, Kevin [Thelwell] and the scouting department.”
It is inevitable that players will leave Molineux, but the manger is prepared to make tough decisions for the good of the club.
“Some of them you have to make, no matter if it’s popular or not. But we have to make decisions simply, face to face and we tell them why, and the reason for it.” He said.
“Of course we have to make [those decisions] because we want to keep on growing and getting better.
“Now it is time for the decisions. It is the right moment, not in the competition. Finish, celebrate, now let’s get to work.”
It will be a busy summer for Wolves, and Nuno will have to get the summer window right if the Wanderers want to make their stay in the Premier League a long one.
