Leeds United star Pontus Jansson has dropped a huge hint about his future at the club in social media.
The Swedish defender has been linked with a move to a number of Premier League clubs in recent weeks, after Leeds’ extremely disappointing season in the Sky Bet Championship.
Italian owner Andrea Radrizzani targeted a top six finish after he completed his takeover of the club last summer, but things have never really worked this season.
The Yorkshire club got off to an excellent start, remaining unbeaten in their first seven games, but that was soon put to bed, and it’s been downhill since then.
Leeds United replaced manager Thomas Christiansen with former Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom in March, but Heckingbottom, who’s former side suffered relegation yesterday (May 6), has failed to impress the Leeds United fans since joining the club.
It’s a big summer for the former Barnsley man, as he attempts to stamp his mark on the squad, but more importantly he needs to keep hold of the club’s current top players.
And it is hard to argue that Pontus Jansson is one of them. The Swedish defender has become a fan favourite during his time at the club, and fans are bound to love him even more after his post on Social Media platform instagram earlier today.
Despite rumours linking him with a move to a top flight club, it seems that Pontus Jansson is remaining at Elland Road.
He ended his message on Instagram by saying “see you next year,” something which will excite the Leeds United faithful.
