Five players Norwich could sign to replace James Maddison

With it looking increasingly likely that James Maddison is destined for the Premier League next season, here are five players that could fill the void left by the midfielder next campaign:

Bradley Dack, Blackburn Rovers – Dack has been in fantastic form for Rovers this season in his debut season at Ewood Park. The attacking midfielder recently picked up the League One Player of the Year award, fighting off competition from Jack Marriott and Nick Powell. Dack has scored 18 goals this season, as well as registering 8 assists. He has been influential in Blackburn’s promotion push this season, but would fit right in at Carrow Road.

Nick Powell, Wigan Athletic – Powell has been Wigan’s star man this season, scoring 15 goals and picking up 5 assists from midfield. He rejected an offer from Brighton in the January transfer window to stay with the Tics and help them gain promotion. Since leaving Manchester United he has excelled at the DW Stadium and could help Norwich push for promotion to the top flight next season.

Isaiah Brown, Chelsea – Brown could be a potential for Maddison at Norwich next season. The midfielder has experience of winning promotion to the Premier League with Huddersfield and has played with Brighton in the Premier League earlier this year. However he failed to nail down a starting spot under Chris Hughton, and after picking up an injury he returned to Chelsea. He could find a home at Norwich City next season.

Marcus Maddison, Peterborough United – The 24 year old has been a revelation at London Road ever since his move from Gateshead in 2014. He is a tricky midfielder who can score goals with a wand of  a left foot. He has played 148 games for Steve Evans’ side and looks ready to make a step up to the Championship.

Henri Lansbury, Aston Villa –  Lansbury is no stranger to Yellows fans after spending time on loan at the club between 2010 and 2011. He joined Villa for £3m in January 2017 but has found first team starts hard to come by at Villa Park. Largely due to the performances of Jack Grealish and Conor Hourihane. He would be welcomed back to Carrow Road and could fill the gap left by Maddison.
