James Maddison, Norwich City star tipped for move to Champions League Semi-Finalists

Norwich City star tipped for move to Champions League Semi-Finalists

James Maddison has had a fantastic season for Norwich City this year, and his brilliant return for the Canaries has led to plenty of interest from a number of Premier League teams.

According to Sky Bet, it is Champions League Semi-Finalists Liverpool who are the favourites to sign the man who has scored 15 goals, and assisted 11 in all competitions for the East Anglian side.

Without him, it is difficult to tell where Norwich would be this season. After him, Josh Murphy has contributed to the most goals for the Canaries, and he’s been involved in just 14.

Sky Bet currently has Maddison at 8/13 to leave Carrow Road this season, with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool 3/1 to secure his signature.

The list of teams after him gets even more impressive after that. Tottenham are at 6/1, whilst their North London rivals Arsenal are at 8/1.

Reports earlier in the Daily Mirror suggested that the Canaries were holding out for £30million for their star man

James Maddison started his career at Coventry City in 2013, before moving to East Anglia in January 2016. He was immediately loaned back to Coventry for the remainder of the season, before joining Aberdeen for the first half of the 2016/17 season.

Maddison returned in January, but did not make his Canaries’ debut until April 2017.

His performances this season have somewhat come out of nowhere, as he had never really proven himself to the Carrow Road faithful, but he certainly has now.

He was named in the PFA Championship team of the year for the 2017/18 season, as well as winning Norwich City’s player of the season.
