Bristol City and Oldham Athletic keeping tabs on Hibernian goalkeeper

Bristol City and Oldham Athletic are both keen on signing Hibernian goalkeeper Cammy Bell, according to the Scottish Sun.

Another unnamed Scottish Premier League side are also said to interested in signing the 31-year-old shot stopper as well.

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson knows Bell from when he played with him in Scotland for Kilmarnock. The Robins are interested in signing him as a back-up goalkeeper for next season.

However, they will face competition from League One side Oldham Athletic. Their manager, Richie Wellens, is already looking for potential signings for the next campaign as he looks to put his own stamp on his newly inherited squad.

Bell has spent his whole career so far playing in Scotland but could move to England for the first time this summer. He started his career with Kilmarnock but joined Rangers in 2013. He helped the Ibrox club win the Scottish League One title but lost his place in the Championship under Mark Warburton.

He left Rangers in 2016 to join Dundee United. He spent a season with them and played 35 times for them before re-joining Kilmarnock last summer. However, having not played a single game for them on his return to the club Bell left them to sign for Hibernian in January.

Bell would be a decent option as a back-up for Bristol City but Oldham Athletic would offer him more first-team opportunities. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
