An updated five potential candidates for the Ipswich Town job

Championship side Ipswich Town are in the hunt for a new manager to replace Mick McCarthy, who is leaving them at the end of the season. Here are an updated five potential candidates-

Danny Cowley, 5/2- The Lincoln City boss still remains the 5/2 favorite on SkyBet. He guided the Imps to Checkatrade Trophy triumph on Sunday and has done an outstanding job with them. He won the National League title and got them to the FA Cup Fifth Round last season.

Alan Pardew, 3/1- He has recently been sacked by West Bromwich Albion after a dire run of form. The former Charlton Athletic, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace boss has been installed as a candidate for the Ipswich job.

Paul Cook, 7/1- It would be unlikely for him to leave Wigan Athletic for Ipswich, especially with it looking like the Latics will be promoted to the Championship. He has done an outstanding job with the Tics this season in League One.

Simon Grayson, 7/1- The former Blackpool, Leeds United, Huddersfield Town, Preston North End, Sunderland and current Bradford City manager is also being mentioned. He is struggling a bit with Bradford and could opt to leave in the summer with them missing out on the Play-Offs.

Steve McClaren, 7/1- He did a decent job with Derby County in the Championship in his first spell there. McClaren is an experienced manager and is not a bad bet for the Ipswich Town job.

Other candidates- Shefki Kuqi, Tony Mowbray, Gus Poyet.
