Manchester United are interested in signing Norwich City striker Adam Idah, according to Calcio Mercato.
The 17-year-old is highly rated by Championship side Norwich City and has been a regular for their under-18s this season.
He joined the Canaries in the summer from Irish side College Corinthians, who are based in Douglas and has impressed since his move.
Idah played a key part for the Republic of Ireland’s under-17’s team who recently qualified for the European Championships. He is currently their top scorer in the qualifying rounds with 8 goals in 5 games.
He has also played for the Republic of Ireland’s under-18’s as well. Many at Norwich City are tipping him for a big future in the game and some believe that he has the potential and the ability to break into the first-team at Carrow Road over the next season or two.
It believed that Norwich boss Daniel Farke has kept a keen eye on Idah’s progress for the under-18’s and has watched some of their games in which he has played. The German boss has given youth a chance this season, with players such as Jamal Lewis and Todd Cantwell (now out on loan at Fortuna Sittard) being given game-time in the first-team.
It would be a huge blow to Norwich to lose the promising youngster to Manchester United if the reports of the Premier League giants are interested in him are true.
