Nuno Espirito Santo gives verdict on Leeds United manager

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has told the Birmingham Mail that he believes that Leeds United manager Paul Heckingbottom is a good boss and facing his side will be a challenge.

The Black Country side are currently on top of the Sky Bet Championship though their lead has narrowed to six points after a few poor results in the last few weeks. As they look to establish themselves as one of the best in the league again ahead of the last few months of the season, Wolves are set to travel to Leeds in what is sure to be a good match.

In the pre-match press conference, Wolves boss Santo was asked about his thoughts on the opposition. And he seems to have a lot of respect for Leeds and their manager Heckingbottom, who he believes is a good boss and will make sure that his side will be tough to beat tonight.

He said: “Paul is a good manager,”

“I think he has his own ideas and he’s trying to put them across to new players. What we expect is a tough game. At the moment their results are not good but the quality is there and it’s going to be tough tomorrow.”

“We have to be at our best to achieve what we want.”

When asked about the league table, he added: “The competition is difficult. The table doesn’t mean anything when you face this quality. The quality and the intensity of the games against every team – especially when they play against us. We have to equal all the intensity and put our talent and quality on the pitch.”
