Championship side Norwich City are set to sign SC Paderborn striker Dennis Srbeny, according to the Eastern Daily Press.
The German striker has travelled to England to complete his switch to the Canaries. The transfer fee is believed to be £1 million.
Norwich City have offloaded a number of players in this transfer window including Alex Pritchard to Huddersfield Town, Russell Martin to Rangers and Cameron Jerome to Norwich City. They are in the hunt for some new signings before the deadline and hope to sign Srbeny in the next 24 hours or so.
The 6ft 3inc striker currently plays for German third division side SC Paderborn and has scored 9 goals so far this season. He is a tall and is a threat in the air and will be a good option for the Canaries.
Srbeny was born in Berlin and played for Tennis Borussia Berlin and Hertha Zehlendorf before joining Hansa Rostock. He initially played for their B team but broke into their first-team in the 2014/15 season but they let him leave at the end of that campaign.
He was snapped up by Dynamo Berlin in 2015 and he was prolific for the them in the Regionalliga Nordost, which is the fourth tier of German football. He scored a combined 28 goals in two seasons. He then signed for Paderborn last summer.
A move to England is now on the cards for Srbeny and his signing will be an exciting one for Norwich fans. He has proven to be a handful in Germany.
