Traore, West Ham United make approach for Middlesbrough winger

West Ham United make approach for Middlesbrough winger

West Ham United have made an approach to sign Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore according to a report from the Yorkshire Post.

The 21-year-old winger, who was once on the books of Barcelona, signed for Middlesbrough back in 2016 after they were promoted to the Premier League. While he was unable to stop them from getting relegated straight back to the Sky Bet Championship, he has been performing well even this season as the club stage a push for promotion back to the top tier.

But with Traore having all the talent he has and the potential he also has, teams from the Premier League are looking to take him back to that division. The team that are reported to be big fans of him are West Ham, who are very keen on signing him this month. This report says they have already taken action in their attempt to sign Traore and have made contact with Middlesbrough about trying to sign him.

It is unknown whether Middlesbrough would be willing to sell Traore this month. There has been numerous changes in management since he signed for the Teesside club under Aitor Karanka and while he has been playing regular football under Tony Pulis since his appointment as head coach, the Welshman might decide to cash in so he can bring in more players. However for now, Middlesbrough will be looking to see how much they could get out of West Ham for Traore before thinking about if they should sell one of their top young players.
