Rosler, Fleetwood boss Rosler could face Leicester with stars sold

Fleetwood boss Rosler could face Leicester with stars sold

According to the Mirror, Fleetwood boss Uwe Rosler has admitted that the Cod Army could face Leicester City in the FA Cup replay minus star players Devante Cole and Amari’i Bell.

The Mirror’s John Cross says in the sub-heading of his article that Rosler “has no option but to cash in” on Cole and Bell should offers of a large enough scale come in from interested clubs.

Striker Cole, son of former Manchester United, Newcastle and England striker Andy Cole, is wanted by a number of clubs including Birmingham, Millwall, Rangers and Leeds United. He’s been in fine form in front of goal this season with 10 to his name.

Cross also says that “several Championship clubs are in for 23-year-old left-back Bell,” who came through the youth set-up at Birmingham, has scored four  goals and assisted two more this season.

Former Leeds United boss Rosler, is aware of what he must do and where he stands saying, “We have bids in already. It’s not a distraction. We embrace that and that’s the difference. My job here is not to win promotion, it’s to develop and create players to be sold on and to win football games.”

Those words from Rosler’s after-match press conference are then followed up the following blunt admission that, “We already have bids in and the way Cole played it’s going to be difficult to keep him. It will be difficult to keep hold of both those two players.”
