PREVIEW: Forest Green Rovers looking to move off the foot of SkyBet League Two

Forest Green Rovers will be looking to climb out of the relegation places when they face Wycombe at the New Lawn.

The Football League’s newest club are currently bottom of SkyBet League Two having won promotion via the National League play-offs last season.

Gareth Ainsworth’s Wycombe side slipped down the 6th this weekend but still look on course to finish in a play-off spot.

The hosts come into the game having lost their last three, the last of which coming against fellow promoted side Lincoln City at Sincil Bank on Saturday.

Matt Rhead’s brace either side of Christian Doidge’s powerful effort was enough to condemn Forest Green to bottom of SkyBet League Two.

Wycombe also tasted defeat for the second time in four games as they ran out 2-1 losers against Steve Evans’ Mansfield Town.

The bookies pre-season favourites had to start the game by going a goal down when Adebayo Akinfenwa scored in consecutive games.

However goals from Alfie Potter and former Wycombe striker Lee Angol saw the Stags pick up yet another win on their travels.

Gareth Ainsworth’s men were able to collect all three points against their counterparts last time out in a 3-1 win for the Chairboys at Adam’s Park.

Paris Cowan-Hall, Anthony Stewart and Luke O’Nein rushed the hosts into an early 3-0 lead before Welsh striker Christian Doidge was able to pull one back for the visitors.
